Top Auction Results
Yogi Berra Signed Baseball — PSA Authenticated
Hammer price: $64
Buyer price: $76.80
Bids: 15
A Yogi Berra signed baseball authenticated by PSA delivered the top result of Weekly Auction #249, reaching a $76.80 buyer price on 15 bids.
It was also the most actively contested item of the week.
That follows Reggie Jackson’s signed baseball leading Auction #248 and gives us back-to-back weeks where authenticated baseball memorabilia finished ahead of every graded card in the lineup.
2025 Bowman Chrome Draft Mega Box Purple Brady Ebel Prospect Auto /199 #BMA-BE CGC 10 Gem Mint
Hammer price: $27
Buyer price: $32.40
Bids: 13
Brady Ebel produced the strongest card result of the auction with his 2025 Bowman Chrome Draft Mega Box Purple Prospect Auto /199 CGC 10 Gem Mint, reaching $32.40 on 13 bids.
Ebel was selected 32nd overall by Milwaukee in the 2025 MLB Draft and worked his way onto MLB Pipeline’s Top 100 Prospects list during the 2026 season.
Add a Bowman Chrome prospect autograph, Purple parallel /199, and Gem Mint grade, and this was one of the more complete prospect cards in the lineup.
2005 Topps Basketball Chris Paul Rookie #224 CGC 10 Gem Mint
Hammer price: $27
Buyer price: $32.40
Bids: 7
Chris Paul tied Ebel at $32.40 with his 2005 Topps Basketball Rookie CGC 10 Gem Mint.
This card takes a very different route to the same final price. Instead of prospect speculation, collectors get an established career, a recognizable Topps rookie issue, and a Gem Mint grade on a card now more than 20 years old.
Seeing Ebel and Paul land at exactly the same price was an interesting contrast between two completely different collecting approaches.
2026 Topps Flagship NFL Stars Patrick Mahomes II #NFLS-9 CGC 10 Gem Mint
Hammer price: $21
Buyer price: $25.20
Bids: 7
Patrick Mahomes II led the football side with his 2026 Topps Flagship NFL Stars CGC 10 Gem Mint, finishing at $25.20.
Mahomes had another card in the auction — his 2026 Topps Flagship ’91 insert CGC 8.5 — that finished at $10.80.
Different inserts and different grades make this an imperfect comparison, but it is another example of how much the exact card can change the result even when the player stays the same.
2026 Topps Flagship Football Leather KC Concepcion Rookie #323 CGC 8
Hammer price: $15
Buyer price: $18
Bids: 6
KC Concepcion rounded out the top five with his 2026 Topps Flagship Football Leather Rookie CGC 8 at $18.
The timing was especially interesting. Just after the auction, Concepcion broke out for Cleveland with eight catches for 129 yards against Tennessee, both career highs through his first seven games. He also added 23 rushing yards for 152 total yards from scrimmage.
For a card carrying a CGC 8 rather than one of the higher grades we usually see near the top, the rookie status and Football Leather treatment still gave collectors something a little different to chase.

A Wide Range of Results
Auction #249 leaned toward the lower end of the price spectrum, with 40 of the 44 sold listings finishing at buyer prices of $18 or less.
That left plenty for collectors to dig through without needing to chase the top of the board, including current football stars and rookies, Bowman Chrome prospects, baseball parallels, soccer, basketball, and several recognizable veteran names.
At the same time, the Yogi Berra baseball and Brady Ebel autograph gave the auction a couple of clear standouts.
Arthur’s Market Notes & Insights
Now for the fun part: interpreting the results.
Authenticated Baseballs Go Back-to-Back
For the second consecutive week, the top result did not come from a graded card.
Reggie Jackson’s JSA-authenticated baseball led Auction #248 at $108, and this week Yogi Berra’s PSA-authenticated baseball led at $76.80.
Berra also drew 15 bids, the highest total of the auction.
Two weeks certainly do not establish a rule, but it has been interesting to see traditional signed memorabilia compete so well alongside graded cards when recognizable Hall of Fame names are involved.
Brady Ebel Looked Like One of the Better Buys of the Week
Brady Ebel’s 2025 Bowman Chrome Draft Mega Box Purple Prospect Auto /199 CGC 10 Gem Mint finished at $32.40 on 13 bids.
To us, that felt light for the card.
Ebel has already worked his way onto MLB Pipeline’s Top 100 Prospects list, and the card checks several boxes collectors typically look for in a prospect piece: Bowman Chrome, an autograph, a numbered parallel, and a Gem Mint grade.
The 13 bids show there was interest, but the final price never really separated. For a collector who believes in Ebel’s upside, this may have been one of the better buys in the auction.
A Modest Week for Graded Cards
Outside of a few standouts, graded-card prices were relatively modest this week.
Of the 44 sold listings, 40 finished at buyer prices of $18 or less, with a median buyer price of just $9.60.
Even recognizable names and current players such as Joe Burrow, Justin Jefferson, Caleb Williams, Drake Maye, Brock Purdy, Jordan Love, and others finished in the lower price ranges.
For collectors, that created plenty of opportunities to add graded cards without chasing higher-dollar results.
It was also a useful reminder for anyone considering what to send to grading: putting a card in a slab does not automatically create additional value. The player, product, specific card, grade, and collector demand still have to support the added cost of grading.
Familiar Names Filled Out the Football Board
Patrick Mahomes II led the football cards at $25.20, but the group behind him included KC Concepcion, Brock Purdy, Tyler Shough, Jordan Love, Joe Burrow, Justin Jefferson, Cam Ward, Drake Maye, Caleb Williams, Jaxson Dart, and others.
The final prices were modest, but there was a good cross-section of established quarterbacks, current stars, and younger players.
Concepcion became particularly interesting almost immediately after the auction, breaking out for 129 receiving yards against Tennessee on October 25.
That is one of the fun parts of following weekly auctions: a card can close on Sunday and look a little more interesting by the following weekend.
Final Takeaways
Weekly Auction #249 brought the focus back to a mix of traditional memorabilia, prospect cards, established rookies, and current football.
Yogi Berra gave authenticated memorabilia its second consecutive weekly win, while Brady Ebel attracted some of the strongest bidding with a numbered Bowman Chrome prospect autograph that, to us, looked like one of the better buys of the week.
Chris Paul showed there is still plenty of appeal in a clean rookie card of an established star, while the broader graded-card results offered collectors plenty of lower-priced opportunities and another reminder to be selective when deciding what is worth grading.
And just a few days after the auction closed, KC Concepcion gave collectors another reason to take a second look after his breakout performance against Tennessee.
Congratulations to the winners and thank you all for tuning in!
