Fanatics Collect Weekly Auction #244 — Bowman Chrome, Topps Resurgence, Basketball, Soccer & More

A new week of Fanatics Collect auctions is live, and Auction #244 brings one of our more varied lineups in recent weeks.

This week’s Fanatics Collect Weekly Auction #244 features 90 Arthur’s Cards & Collectibles listings across baseball, football, basketball, soccer, UFC, Formula 1, Marvel, and Bo Jackson Battle Arena Tecmo Bowl.

The auction brings a much more balanced mix across the major sports, with baseball in the stretch run, football getting underway, and basketball season right around the corner. As promised last week, we were able to get more football into the lineup, led by a large group of 2025 Topps Resurgence cards, while basketball adds LeBron James, Nikola Jokić, Magic Johnson, Kevin Garnett, Dirk Nowitzki, Jalen Brunson, James Harden, and Cade Cunningham.

Soccer brings another strong Lamine Yamal group alongside Cristiano Ronaldo, Kylian Mbappé, Diogo Jota, and Fermín López, while the lineup also includes UFC, Formula 1, Marvel Chrome, skateboarding legend Tony Hawk, and a few hobby throwbacks that caught our attention.

Auction closes Sunday, September 20, with extended bidding starting at 7pm AZ.

Arthur’s Picks This Week

Justin Gaethje 2026 Topps Now UFC CGC 10 Pristine

Justin Gaethje gives Auction #244 one of its strongest UFC cards.

The 2026 Topps Now UFC Freedom 250 #18 is graded CGC 10 Pristine and comes from the historic Freedom 250 event, where Gaethje defeated Ilia Topuria by fourth-round TKO to win the undisputed UFC lightweight championship at the White House.

There is also a CGC 10 Gem Mint copy of the same card in the auction, creating another useful same-card, different-grade comparison to follow once the results come in.

For UFC collectors, the combination of the Freedom 250 storyline and Pristine designation makes this one of the more notable combat-sports cards in the lineup.

Cristiano Ronaldo 2023 Donruss Pitch Kings CGC 10 Pristine

Cristiano Ronaldo gives Auction #244 one of its strongest international-star cards.

The 2023 Donruss Pitch Kings #11 is graded CGC 10 Pristine, pairing one of the most recognizable athletes in the world with one of the highest grades CGC awards.

The Pitch Kings insert also gives the card a more distinctive look than a standard base issue, making it a nice fit for collectors who prefer inserts with a little more personality.

For soccer collectors — or anyone who likes globally recognizable names in premium grades — this is one of the standout cards in the lineup.

Adrian Beltre 1997 Bowman Chrome Rookie CGC 10 Gem Mint

The vintage-modern crossover of the week comes from 1997 Bowman Chrome.

Adrian Beltre’s 1997 Bowman Chrome Rookie #182 is graded CGC 10 Gem Mint, combining an early Chrome issue, rookie status, and one of the most accomplished careers of his generation.

For collectors who like Hall of Fame names from the late-1990s Chrome era, this is one of the cleanest combinations in the entire auction.

John Elway 1995 Select Certified Mirror Gold CGC 9

One of the more distinctive football cards this week is the 1995 Select Certified Mirror Gold John Elway #46, graded CGC 9 Mint.

Mid-1990s parallels have developed a following of their own, and Mirror Gold remains one of the more recognizable premium treatments from the era.

Pair that with Elway and a strong Mint grade, and this one stands apart from the much newer football cards filling most modern auctions.

Puka Nacua 2025 Topps Resurgence Refractor CGC 10 Pristine

Football gets a major boost this week with a large group of 2025 Topps Resurgence cards.

One of the strongest grades in that group belongs to Puka Nacua, whose Resurgence Refractor #58 earned a CGC Pristine 10.

The combination of a current star, Chrome-style refractor, and Pristine designation makes this one of the more interesting modern football cards in the lineup.

JJ Wetherholt Future Stars CGC 10 Pristine

JJ Wetherholt returns this week with another modern baseball card worth watching.

His 2026 Topps Chrome Future Stars #FS-3 is graded CGC Pristine 10, giving collectors one of the highest-grade examples in a lineup filled with young players and rookies.

There is also a CGC 10 Gem Mint copy of the same card in the auction, creating another same-card, different-grade comparison to follow after last week’s discussion in our market recap.

Silver Surfer 2026 Topps Chrome Marvel RayWave CGC 10 Pristine

Marvel gets one of the more eye-catching cards in Auction #244 with the 2026 Topps Chrome Marvel RayWave Refractor Silver Surfer #157, graded CGC Pristine 10.

Chrome Marvel has become an increasingly interesting crossover between traditional trading-card collectors and comic-character collectors, and the RayWave finish gives this one plenty of visual appeal.

A great chance to snag one of the more popular Marvel characters ahead of the highly anticipated Avengers movie coming out this December.

The Pristine grade gives it another point of separation and makes it one of the stronger non-sports slabs in this week’s lineup.

Tony Hawk 2023 Leaf Pro Set Gold Black /49 CGC 8.5

Tony Hawk gives Auction #244 one of its more unusual crossover cards.

The 2023 Leaf Web Exclusives Pro Set Gold Black #PSG-70 is serial-numbered to just 49 copies and graded CGC 8.5 NM-MT+.

Hawk has appeal well beyond traditional sports-card collecting, with obvious crossover into skateboarding, pop culture, and 1990s nostalgia.

The low-numbered Gold Black parallel gives the card some added scarcity, while the Pro Set branding fits naturally with the throwback feel of the subject.

For collectors who like cards that sit a little outside the usual baseball-football-basketball lane, this is one of the more distinctive pieces in Auction #244.

Are You Ready For Some Football?

Football takes a much bigger swing in Auction #244, with 20 listings built around 2025 Topps Resurgence, current stars, rookies, and some great throwback names.

The Resurgence group features inserts, refractors, parallels, and rookie cards from Tom Brady, Puka Nacua, Travis Hunter, Ashton Jeanty, Emeka Egbuka, Cam Skattebo, Xavier Worthy, Aaron Rodgers, Saquon Barkley, and RJ Harvey.

There are also several cards outside Resurgence that add variety, including Trey McBride, Caleb Williams, Tucker Kraft, Jaxson Dart, Kurt Warner, and the John Elway Mirror Gold.

From modern rookies to veteran stars and 1990s-era nostalgia, football has a lot more range to dig into this week.

Basketball Season's Right Around the Corner

Tip-off is getting closer, and Auction #244 has a strong basketball group ready for collectors looking ahead to the new season.

The lineup includes LeBron James, Nikola Jokić, Dirk Nowitzki, Kevin Garnett, Magic Johnson, James Harden, Jalen Brunson, and Cade Cunningham.

Most of the group comes from modern Topps Chrome Update, Donruss Optic, or recent Panini products, giving collectors a mix of established superstars and modern parallels.

The Magic Johnson Red White & Blue Refractor and James Harden Refractor both earned CGC 10 Gem Mint, while Cade Cunningham’s RayWave Refractor also carries a CGC 10.

Big Names Across the Pitch

Soccer brings some of the biggest international names in the entire auction, led by Lamine Yamal, Cristiano Ronaldo, Kylian Mbappé, Diogo Jota, and Fermín López.

Yamal appears three times, including:

• 2023 Donruss FIFA Rookie #177 — PSA 9 Mint
• 2025 Finest UEFA Club Competitions #1 — CGC 10 Gem Mint
• 2024 Topps Chrome UEFA Wonderkids #WK-1 — CGC 10 Gem Mint

Cristiano Ronaldo adds two more cards to the group, with his 2023 Donruss Pitch Kings CGC 10 Pristine standing out as one of the strongest grades in the soccer lineup.

Between Yamal, Ronaldo, Mbappé, and the rest of the group, there is plenty here for collectors following both current stars and established legends.

Marvel, Motorsports & More

Some of the most visually distinctive cards in Auction #244 come from outside the traditional sports lanes.

The Silver Surfer RayWave Refractor CGC 10 Pristine headlines the Marvel group, while Doctor Doom and Thanos both carry CGC 10 Gem Mint grades.

Outside Marvel, the auction adds even more variety with a Tony Hawk 2023 Leaf Pro Set Gold Black /49 CGC 8.5, a Lando Norris Topps Chrome Formula 1 CGC 8.5, and another Bo Jackson Battle Arena Tecmo Bowl card.

For collectors who like crossover appeal, pop culture, and cards that simply look different from the rest of the auction, this is one of the more fun sections of the lineup.
