Our Fanatics Collect Weekly Auction #239 features 20 Arthur’s Cards & Collectibles listings, including a 2003 Leaf Limited Bronze Spotlight Drew Brees /150 shortly after his Pro Football Hall of Fame enshrinement, a PSA 10 Derek Jeter, two 2002 Topps Gold Label Class 3 Titanium /100 parallels, and a Garrett Wilson autograph /99.

The lineup also includes Drake Maye, Malik Nabers, Brock Bowers, Paolo Banchero, Anthony Edwards, Lamine Yamal, Endrick, and several other graded cards across four sports.

Arthur’s Picks This Week

Drew Brees Bronze Spotlight /150

The timing could hardly be better for this 2003 Leaf Limited Bronze Spotlight Drew Brees.

Brees was officially enshrined in the Pro Football Hall of Fame on August 8 as part of the Class of 2026, putting one of the defining quarterbacks of his generation back in the spotlight just days before this auction closes.

The card comes from early in Brees’ career and is serial-numbered to just 150 copies. This example is graded PSA 9 Mint, and Fanatics currently lists it as PSA Population 1 of 2, with only one graded higher.

The combination of Hall of Fame timing, a relatively low print run, an early-career issue, and a strong grade makes this one of the cards I’ll be most interested to watch on Sunday.

Barry Bonds Class 3 Titanium /100

The 2002 Topps Gold Label Class 3 Titanium Barry Bonds may be my favorite baseball card in this week’s auction.

Bonds was prominently featured on 2002 Topps Gold Label packaging, and the Titanium parallel sits at the top of the product’s numbered base-parallel structure.

The hierarchy progresses from Class 1 Gold /500, to Class 2 Platinum /250, and finally Class 3 Titanium /100. That makes Titanium the most limited of the three numbered tiers, with only 100 copies of each player. 2002 was also the final year of Gold Label’s original run before Topps revived the brand in 2016.

This Bonds is numbered to 100 and graded PSA 8 NM-MT. The auction also includes Hall of Famer Scott Rolen’s Class 3 Titanium /100 from the same release, giving collectors two opportunities to target the highest numbered tier from the set.

Derek Jeter PSA 10

Derek Jeter brings one of the most recognizable names in this week’s auction with his 1994 Bowman #633 graded PSA 10 Gem Mint.

Coming from very early in Jeter’s career, the card combines a clean Bowman design with the condition appeal of a Gem Mint grade.

For collectors building around Jeter, the Yankees, or high-grade cards of the era, it offers an early-career issue of one of baseball’s defining players of the past three decades.

Garrett Wilson Auto /99

Garrett Wilson provides the main modern autograph in Auction #239.

The 2024 Panini Prestige Xtra Points Premium Blue autograph is serial-numbered to 99 copies and graded CGC 10 Gem Mint.

While much of this week’s football group focuses on rookies and inserts, the Wilson gives the lineup something different: an autograph, a double-digit print run, and a top CGC grade.

Alex Rodriguez Holoview FX

The 1994 SP Holoview FX Alex Rodriguez gives the auction another early-career star with a distinctly 1990s presentation.

Rather than a traditional base design, the Holoview FX uses the holographic styling that became a hallmark of the premium-card experimentation taking place during the era.

This copy is graded CSG 9 Mint and provides a different way to collect Rodriguez from the beginning of his career.

Baseball Highlights

Baseball contributes seven cards this week, with the group leaning heavily toward stars, serial-numbered parallels, and premium releases.

Beyond the featured Derek Jeter, Alex Rodriguez, and Barry Bonds cards, the auction includes a 1998 Flair Showcase Legacy Collection Row 0 /100 Matt Williams, along with Scott Rolen’s matching 2002 Topps Gold Label Class 3 Titanium /100.

Paul Goldschmidt appears on a 2021 Topps Gold Label Class 3 Blue /50 graded CGC 10 Gem Mint. Goldschmidt had already established himself as one of baseball’s best all-around players during his years with the Arizona Diamondbacks, finishing second in National League MVP voting in both 2013 and 2015. After joining the St. Louis Cardinals, he finally captured the award in 2022, winning his first NL MVP at age 35.

Julio Rodríguez represents the modern side of the lineup with a 2024 Topps Purple Holofoil /799 graded CGC 10 Gem Mint.

The two 2002 Gold Label Titanium cards are particularly interesting as a pair. Both Bonds and Rolen are numbered to 100 and come from the highest of the set’s three numbered parallel tiers.

Football Highlights

Football makes up the largest portion of Auction #239 with eight cards.

Beyond the featured Drew Brees and Garrett Wilson cards, the lineup includes several recent rookies and young players.

Drake Maye appears on a 2024 Score-A-Treat Rising Stars Green Bats rookie graded CGC 10 Gem Mint, while Malik Nabers has two different CGC 10 rookie cards available: a Donruss Vortex and a Topps Signature Class Fluidity.

Brock Bowers, Blake Corum, and Quinn Ewers round out the rookie group, giving collectors several different options and designs to follow during the auction.

Basketball & Soccer Highlights

Three basketball cards and two soccer cards round out this week’s lineup.

Basketball includes a 2022 Select Courtside Paolo Banchero rookie graded CGC 10 Gem Mint, a 2024 Hoops Winter Skyview Holo Anthony Edwards also graded CGC 10, and an OG Anunoby Teal Explosion.

Soccer brings two of the most recognizable young international names in the hobby.

Lamine Yamal appears on his 2024 Topps UEFA Club Competitions #27 graded CGC 10 Gem Mint, while Endrick is represented by a 2024 Topps Chrome UEFA Wonderkids #WK-2 graded CGC 9.5 Mint+.
