Fanatics Collect Auction #241 – Seager, Trout, Ramírez & More

A new week of Fanatics Collect auctions is live, and this one brings one of our deepest baseball lineups of the summer along with football rookies, Pristine grades, Hall of Fame names, and a small dose of Marvel.

This week’s Fanatics Collect Weekly Auction #241 guide features 72 Arthur’s Cards & Collectibles listings, led by an early Corey Seager Bowman prospect card graded CGC 10, a Jaxon Smith-Njigba rookie graded CGC 10 Pristine, a José Ramírez Topps Chrome Refractor in Pristine condition, a Roger Clemens All Aces Pristine, and a Mike Trout 8-Bit Ballers Pristine.

Baseball dominates the lineup with 54 cards, including Shohei Ohtani, Aaron Judge, Juan Soto, Bryce Harper, Ken Griffey Jr., Albert Pujols, Miguel Cabrera, Nolan Ryan, Clayton Kershaw, Max Scherzer, Babe Ruth, Bobby Witt Jr., and a large group from Topps’ All Aces insert series.

Football adds Brock Bowers, Bryce Young, Bo Nix, Travis Kelce, Cooper Kupp, Brett Favre, Bo Jackson, Chase Brown, and Jalen Hurts with A.J. Brown, while Nikola Jokić, Captain Marvel, and Thor round out the mix.

Auction closes Sunday, August 30, with extended bidding starting at 7pm AZ.

Arthur’s Picks This Week

Corey Seager Silver Diamond Refractor Prospect CGC 10

The 2014 Bowman ’89 Is Back Silver Diamond Refractor Corey Seager is one of our favorite cards in this week’s baseball lineup.

The card comes from early in Seager’s professional career, before the multiple World Series championships and two World Series MVP awards that would eventually define his postseason résumé.

It also brings together several things we like in an early-career card: Bowman prospect appeal, a throwback design, a Refractor treatment, and a CGC 10 Gem Mint grade.

For collectors who like cards from before a player became an established star, this is an interesting Seager to watch Sunday night.

Jaxon Smith-Njigba Score Rookie CGC 10 Pristine

Football season is nearly here, and Jaxon Smith-Njigba enters it as one of the more interesting young receivers in the hobby.

His 2023 Score rookie #348 comes from his first NFL card season and is graded CGC 10 Pristine, one step above CGC Gem Mint.

After a breakout 2025 season established JSN among football’s top young receivers, his rookie cards enter the new season with considerably more attention than they carried only a couple of years ago.

The card itself is straightforward. The player trajectory and Pristine grade are what make this example stand out.

Bo Jackson 1990 Score CGC 9.5

Bo Jackson gets a featured spot this week with his 1990 Score #697 graded CGC 9.5 Mint+.

The card comes from the height of Bo’s two-sport fame, when he was one of the most recognizable athletes in America and a centerpiece of both football and baseball collecting.

The 1990 Score design is instantly recognizable to collectors of the era, and the strong CGC 9.5 Mint+ grade gives this copy added condition appeal.

Bo is also represented elsewhere in Auction #241 through a 2023 Panini Prizm Draft Picks Green, a 2023 Topps Composite Gallery Pristine, and several Battle Arena Tecmo Bowl cards, making this 1990 Score issue a fitting anchor for the broader Bo Jackson group.

José Ramírez Topps Chrome Refractor CGC 10 Pristine

José Ramírez has quietly built one of the strongest all-around résumés of his generation, combining power, speed, consistency, and a long run as the centerpiece of the Cleveland Guardians.

This 2022 Topps Chrome Refractor #151 adds one of the hobby’s most recognizable parallel treatments to that player profile.

The bigger differentiator here is condition: this copy earned a CGC 10 Pristine grade.

With Ramírez continuing to add to an already accomplished career, this is a clean combination of established-star appeal, Chrome, Refractor shine, and a top-end grade.

Roger Clemens & Nolan Ryan — All Aces

Topps’ All Aces insert series is one of the biggest recurring themes in Auction #241, and two of the most recognizable power pitchers in baseball history lead the group.

Roger Clemens appears on the 2023 Topps Update All Aces #AA-53 graded CGC 10 Pristine, while Nolan Ryan is represented by the 2023 Topps Update All Aces #AA-51 graded CGC 10 Gem Mint.

The set’s pitching-focused design is a natural fit for both players. Clemens won a record seven Cy Young Awards, while Ryan remains synonymous with strikeouts, velocity, and longevity.

This week’s auction also includes a second Clemens All Aces graded CGC 10 Gem Mint, creating an interesting opportunity to compare how bidders value the jump from Gem Mint to Pristine on the same card.

With a larger 15-card All Aces group also included in the auction, Clemens and Ryan make a fitting centerpiece for that part of the lineup.

Mike Trout 8-Bit Ballers CGC 10 Pristine

Mike Trout appears five times in this week’s auction, but the 2023 Topps Big League 8-Bit Ballers #8B-2 stands out from the group.

The video-game-inspired design gives the card a completely different look from a traditional Trout issue, while the CGC 10 Pristine grade adds a condition-driven angle.

Trout’s résumé already includes three American League MVP awards and one of the most dominant peaks of the modern era, so even lower-cost inserts can provide fun ways to collect one of baseball’s defining players of the past 15 years.

This one combines that player appeal with an unusual design and one of CGC’s toughest grades.

Baseball Highlights

Baseball makes up the majority of Auction #241 with 54 cards, ranging from prospect-era Bowman and modern Chrome to Hall of Fame names, colorful inserts, and several Pristine grades.

Mike Trout leads the player count with five different cards, including the featured 8-Bit Ballers Pristine, a 2024 Topps Archives Yellow Foilboard, a 2019 Topps Update ’84 Silver Pack, a 2023 Greatest Hits, and a 2023 Topps Update ’88 Blue.

Other modern stars include Shohei Ohtani, Aaron Judge, Juan Soto, Bryce Harper, Bobby Witt Jr., Kyle Schwarber, Fernando Tatis Jr., Jackson Merrill, Clayton Kershaw, and José Ramírez.

The older-name side of the lineup adds Babe Ruth, Willie McCovey, Ken Griffey Jr., Albert Pujols, Miguel Cabrera, Nolan Ryan, Roger Clemens, Warren Spahn, Juan Marichal, and Andy Pettitte.

One of the more interesting mini-collections this week is a 15-card group of 2023 Topps All Aces and Update All Aces inserts.

Clemens is available in both CGC 10 Pristine and CGC 10 Gem Mint, while Max Scherzer and Shane McClanahan also have multiple graded copies.

That should create some useful real-world comparisons between grades when the auction closes.

There are plenty of other high-grade cards mixed throughout the baseball lineup as well, including a Kyle Schwarber Chrome Platinum Anniversary Refractor CGC 10 Pristine and a Willie McCovey Turkey Red CGC 10 Pristine.

The non-baseball and football group is smaller this week, but there are still a few fun cards mixed in.

Nikola Jokić represents basketball with a 2024 Hoops Winter Premium Purple #284 graded CGC 8 NM-MT.

Marvel adds two CGC 10 Gem Mint cards: Captain Marvel Silver Sparkle and Thor Backscatters, giving non-sports collectors a couple of options among an otherwise sports-heavy lineup.
